This website strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) requirements for digital services.

Accessible Features

All checkout components meet WCAG AA colour contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 ratio for normal text, 3:1 for large text) and maintain consistent accessibility standards throughout.

Newspack Modal Checkout

  • Full keyboard accessibility with logical tab order
  • Focus management ensures the modal captures focus when opened and returns focus to the triggering button when closed
  • Focus trap prevents users from accidentally navigating outside the modal while it’s open
  • Modal can be closed using both the dedicated close button and the ESC key
  • Form fields include appropriate labels and descriptions
  • Error messages are properly associated with form controls

Checkout Button Block

  • Fully keyboard accessible with tab navigation
  • Button activation via the Enter key for keyboard users
  • Clear focus indicators for keyboard navigation
  • Seamlessly connects to either modal or regular checkout, depending on site configuration
